Where to stay: Göreme, Uçhisar, Ürgüp

Göreme

Göreme has 43 of the 80 hotels, more than any other place. Seventeen of them list family rooms, among them Kelebek Cave Hotel, Sultan Cave Suites, Divan Cave House, Design Cave Hotel, Cappadocia Cave Suites and Tulip Cave Suites. Eleven have a pool and 35 list air conditioning; the pools include Kelebek Cave Hotel, Göreme Cave Suites, Secret Hill Cave Suites and Zemi Hotel Cappadocia. Hamams are listed at Kelebek Cave Hotel, Artemis Cave Suites & Spa, Secret Hill Cave Suites and Aydınlı Cave Hotel. Uçhisar

Uçhisar, the village below its rock castle, has 19 hotels, nine of them small hotels. Eight list family rooms: Flavia Cappadocia Hotel, Chiaro Cappadocia, Kale Konak Cappadocia, Wings Cappadocia, Kilim Pansiyon and Uçhisar Palace In Cappadocia among them. Four list a hot tub: Hu of Cappadocia, Mimi Cappadocia Luxury Cave Hotel, Leda Stone House and Simera In Cappadocia. Two have a pool, Karlık Evi Cappadocia and The Kingdom of Cappadocia, and four accept pets.

Ürgüp

Ürgüp, the district centre, has 9 hotels, and every one lists parking. Three have family rooms: Kayata Cave Suites, Chakra Special Caves and Aja Cappadocia Hotel. Asuwari Suites Cappadocia and Taru Cave Suites are the ones named as suites, and Asuwari, Taru and Kayata have a 24-hour reception. The Calypso Cave lists heated floors, and 4 Oda Cave House is the only hotel in the catalogue with a winery on site.
