8 of the 80 hotels in our catalogue are listed as pet-friendly: 3 in Göreme, 4 in Uçhisar and 1 in Çavuşin. That is 10% of the catalogue, and none of them is in Ürgüp, Mustafapaşa or Ortahisar. The tick is all the records give. None names a species, a size limit, a number of animals, a fee or the places where a pet may go, and only one, Kale Konak, says in plain words that pets are welcome. So this guide does what the records allow: it lists the eight, sets them against the other things a traveller with an animal has to weigh (parking, air conditioning, walking distances, family rooms) and gives the questions that settle size and fees with the hotel in writing. There are no prices here, because the records hold none.
By town
| Town | Hotels | Pet-friendly | Share |
|---|---|---|---|
| Göreme | 43 | 3 | 7% |
| Uçhisar | 19 | 4 | 21% |
| Çavuşin | 3 | 1 | 33% |
| Ürgüp | 9 | 0 | 0% |
| Mustafapaşa | 4 | 0 | 0% |
| Ortahisar | 2 | 0 | 0% |
| Total | 80 | 8 | 10% |
Uçhisar has the most pet-friendly hotels in proportion among the larger towns: 4 of its 19.
The eight at a glance
“Rooms” is the hotel’s total where the record gives one, and “n/a” means it does not.
| Hotel | Town | Category | Rooms | Parking | Breakfast | Family rooms | Balloon view | Check-out |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Amber Cave Suites | Göreme | cave | n/a | yes | yes | yes | yes | 11:00 |
| Kayataş Cave Suites | Göreme | cave | n/a | yes | yes | – | yes | 12:00 |
| Serene Premium Stone House | Göreme | small hotel | n/a | yes | yes | yes | yes | 11:00 |
| Juno Cappadocia | Uçhisar | small hotel | n/a | – | yes | – | yes | 12:00 |
| Kale Konak Cappadocia | Uçhisar | cave | 17 | yes | yes | yes | in text | 11:00 |
| Kilim Pansiyon | Uçhisar | pension | n/a | – | yes | yes | yes | 12:00 |
| Simera In Cappadocia | Uçhisar | suite hotel | 9 | yes | yes | – | yes | 12:00 |
| Seki Cave Hotel | Çavuşin | cave | 16 | yes | yes | yes | yes | 11:00 |
All eight include breakfast and all have check-in from 14:00. Six tick parking, five family rooms and seven a balloon view; Kale Konak’s record says its rooms come with balloon views without the tick. Only two, Seki and Simera, list an airport transfer, and only one, Serene Premium Stone House, ticks air conditioning.
How the eight compare with the whole catalogue is worth a glance. Breakfast is ticked by all 8 (100%) against 66 of the 80 hotels (82%), parking by 6 of 8 (75%) against 60 of 80 (75%), family rooms by 5 of 8 (63%) against 33 of 80 (41%) and a balloon view by 7 of 8 (88%) against 38 of 80 (48%). Air conditioning runs the other way: 1 of 8 (13%) against 48 of 80 (60%). The sample is small, so read these as a description of the eight and not as a pattern.
What the records say about pets
The wording is thin. Kale Konak’s record says “Pets are welcome”. Amber’s says the hotel is pet-friendly, which matters to guests travelling with an animal. Juno’s says it is listed as pet-friendly, so travelling with a pet is possible, and Kayataş, Kilim Pansiyon, Seki and Simera say much the same. Serene’s mentions it in a list of features, and Seki’s record opens with the line. None defines “pet”, and none says whether the rule covers every room, the restaurant or the terrace.
The other 72 records are silent, which is not a no. A hotel that does not tick the box may still accept an animal, and one that ticks it may limit the kind. Treat the tick as an invitation to ask, never as a booking term.
Choosing among the eight
With a car. Six tick parking; Juno and Kilim Pansiyon do not. Serene’s record says to plan on driving, about 15 minutes by car to the national park and the Open-Air Museum. For the parking picture see hotels with parking.
On foot. According to the records, Kilim Pansiyon is about 138 m from Uçhisar Castle, Simera about 352 m, and Kale Konak’s town centre is a few minutes’ walk. Amber is about 1.2 km from the Open-Air Museum, and Seki is within walking distance of Güllüdere and Kızıl Valley.
Heat and cold. Only Serene ticks air conditioning. From June to August the Nevşehir average high is 24.9–28.7 °C (MGM, 1959–2025), and the summer guide gives the full picture. From December to February the average low is below freezing, from −1.3 to −3.6 °C. Seki’s record says its rooms have fireplaces; for the others ask how a room is heated and cooled.
Family or couple. Five of the eight list family rooms (see family rooms). Juno ticks a honeymoon concept and Serene’s record mentions one in its text, see the honeymoon guide, and Simera has six jacuzzi suites among its nine rooms.
